Where do I even begin? My mom has all the traits a mom should have- she is kind, patient, loving, funny- she is an amazing mom.
What a lot of people don't know is that she gave up her comfort for her future children and grandchildren. After her and my father got married- my father left for the United States so that he was able to get Permanent Residency for my mom. It would take two years. Newlyweds separated for two years- only seeing each other 2 times a year. Then she got pregnant, delivered me, and raised me for 2.5 years as a single parent.
Once the residency came through, she left her family, friends, and country- her comfort- to be with her husband and give her children a better future.
She has been a great support and a wonderful role model. She has been an amazing mother and I can't wait to see her take on the role of grandmother to our newborn.
